SALAY, MIS. OR., 2022, Feb 18 — The Local Government Unit of Salay headed by Mayor Jun Capistrano through the Budget Office conducted a meeting with the Department of Science and Technology (DOST)-Misamis Oriental regarding the DOST-CEST Projects’ updates and delivery of Water Level Sensor for Salay.

Before the meeting started, the WestPoint Engineering Supplies Incorporated in the person of ECE Marrion-Franco Sison and Sales Director Mark Anthony Adviento, the supplier of the newly acquired Flood Monitoring System (TANDEM) and Automated Rain Gauge Station (ARGS), presented the specifications, tools, uses, system network, and other important details of the said technology/instrument.

The proper meeting was done afterwards. Agenda discussed were DOST-CEST existing projects’ updates in Salay, future projects, and other important matters. Concerns and suggestions were raised.

Present during the meeting were Mayor Jun Capistrano, Provincial S & T Director- Misamis Oriental Engr. Junelyn-Louvena B. Ruiz, Ms. Meriam Mondia, DOST MisOr staff, LGU-Salay department heads namely: Budget Officer/Salay DOST-CEST Coordinator Ms. Emma Baluyos, MDRRM Officer Mr. Kenneth Palamine, MPDC Mr. Roy Czar Lumacad, Municipal Engineer Engr. Benjie Salvaña, Municipal Health Officer Dr. Christy Marie Rosales, Municipal Agriculturist Engr. Ralph Caesar Vallar, GSO Ms. Ava Victoria Ronquillo, and Municipal Nutritionist-Designate Ms. January Rose Lagdamin.

On the same day, they also conducted site inspection to the proposed location, Barangay Ili-Ilihon (Near the River/Dike), where the Water Level Sensor will be installed soon.
