SALAY, MIS. OR., 2021, May 14 — The Salay Local Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) conducted an Emergency Meeting spearheaded by Mayor Jun Capistrano, addressing the issues and concerns with regards to the alarming increase of the new recorded confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the municipality. Present during the meeting was Rev. Fr. Julito Cabactulan, SSJV, Pastor Jaime Abadiano (Representative from the other religious sector), Mr. Arman Acao – SALTODA President, and Mrs. Gina Cagang – Salay Central ES Principal.
They also conducted action planning and discussed additional guidelines including its strict implementation meant to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in our municipality.

Initial guidelines discussed are the following:

  • All religious gatherings will be temporarily suspended starting May 17, 2021 (Monday) until May 31, 2021.
  • No Fiesta activities.
  • No other mass gatherings.
  • Resorts (Matampa Pines “Little Baguio”, VMW, Pilwak Beach and Shades, Ampenican Beach, Balsa) and other Tourism Establishments will be temporarily closed.
  • No Tennis and Frisbee
  • Strict implementation of IATF guidelines in all 18 barangays (including monitoring of travelers/LSIs/ROFs)
