SALAY, MIS. OR., January 1—Salayanos welcomed 2020 with a bang as they
witnessed a spectacular 15-minute fireworks display at the Reclamation Area.
The New Year couldn’t be more memorable as the municipality of Salay also
celebrates its 100th Founding Anniversary.
Prior to the fireworks display, LGU Salay held a Thanksgiving mass and Ecumenical Prayers at the Reclamation area. It was attended by religious leaders from different denominations who led prayers for different societal concerns.

The 100 days countdown began with a motorcade caravan from Brgy. Looc to Brgy. Dinagsaan followed by a short awarding ceremony of the Centennial Logo Design Contest held at the reclamation area.
Later that afternoon, A Larong Pinoy, featuring traditional Filipino games was organized and participated by school children held at the municipal plaza.
