SALAY, MIS. OR, Nov. 5– After missing the prestigious award last year, the municipality of Salay regains the most coveted Seal after passing this year’s “All-in” assesment system by the Departement of Interior and Local Government (DILG) on seven (7) governance areas: Financial Administration, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection, Peace and Order, Business-Friendliness and Competitiveness, Environmental Management, Tourism, Culture and the Arts.

LGU Salay has been an SGLG awardee on the previous years 2015, 2016, 2017, and is now happily back on the roster of LGUs who are recognized nationwide for their remarkable performance on local administration and service delivery across several areas.
Earlier this year, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte has signed into law an act establishing and institutionalizing the Seal of Good Local Governance for local government units (LGUs), aimed to influence more LGUs to strengthen its pursuit of local governance reforms and development, geared towards a “Gobyernong may Malasakit tungo sa Pagbabago at Patuloy na Pag-Unlad”
