SALAY, MIS. OR., May 27 — The Local Government Unit of Salay is already on its sixth wave of food pack distribution.
The distribution of food packs to more than 6,000 Salayano families was a success because of the joint efforts of the LGU headed by Municipal Mayor, Angelo G. Capistrano, Jr., and all the Barangay Council of the 18 barangays.
The barangay councils have finished distributing the first wave of food packs in all 18 barangays on April 6, 2020.

The second wave of food pack distribution was conducted by the local government on April 14, 2020. Each pack contains 5 kg of rice and 1 whole dressed chicken.

The barangay councils of 18 barangays conducted the third wave of food pack distribution on April 22, 2020.

The fourth wave of the food pack distribution was done by the local government on April 28, 2020, and the fifth wave in May 22, 2020.


The sixth wave was done by the barangay councils in coordination with the local government unit on May 27, 2020.

The local government and barangay councils led by the SB Councilors of Salay together with the volunteers personally delivered the food packs and provided at the doorstep of our constituents the needed foods to ensure that every affected Salayano family has food to eat while we are battling against the pandemic due to COVID – 19.
Mayor Angelo G. Capistrano, Jr. assures that the local government will provide the needed support of all Salayanos and will continue to provide the security and safety to ensure that our municipality will remain safe from the threat of COVID-19.
