SALAY, MIS. OR., 2021, May 6 — The Department of Environment and Natural Resources – CENRO Gingoog City headed by Mr. Roel G. Dahonog – CENR Officer together with National Greening Program (NGP) personnel Mr. Gilbert Abao and Mr. Mark Anthony Hania paid a consultation visit to Mayor Jun Capistrano at the Mayor’s Office. A quick meeting was done which was participated by LGU-Salay Municipal Planning and Development Coordinator (MPDC) – Mr. Roy Czar Lumacad, OIC-Municipal Assessor – Mrs. Fermina Cagadas, REA, MENRO Designate – Mr. Greg Zulita, and staff (see picture below).


Plans and programs regarding the management of our solid wastes, coastal areas, forest land use, other environmental management concerns, and future plans and programs to maintain a sustainable environment were discussed during the visit.


Also, on the same day, the DENR-CENR Office Gingoog City FLUP Technical Working Group (TWG) paid a courtesy call to the Mayor’s Office. The intention of their visit is to review and help the Salay FLUP-TWG by sharing their expertise and to be able to finalize the Salay Forest Land Use Plan (FLUP).
