SALAY, MIS. OR., November 23 — The Provincial Population Office Misamis Oriental Team conducted a Progestin-only Subdermal Implant (PSI) Outreach Activity held at the Salay Gymnasium on November 23, 2020.
The Local Government Unit of Salay headed by Mayor Angelo “Jun” Capistrano, Jr. would like to extend our deepest gratitude to PSI Provincial Population Office Misamis Oriental Team with POPCOM 10, ReachHealth, Mr. Giovanni Bitoy for bringing the Progestin-only Subdermal Implant (PSI) Outreach Program to Salay.
The activity was a success with the joint efforts of LGU-Rural Health Unit of Salay led by Dr. Elijah Matteo and Municipal Population Office led by Ms. Sharon Balane.
The Department of Health (DOH) today stated that the new family planning method called Progestin Sub-dermal implant (PSI) is an effective approach to meeting the global need for a more beneficial and convenient manner of birth spacing among women, and our women here in Salay were blessed to have benefited this program.
