NATIONAL LEVEL
• Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) (2015, 2016, 2017)

 

For three consecutive years, LGU Salay is a recipient of the prestigious Seal of Good Local Governance conferred by the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG). Salay, being an awardee, was able to perform excellently across these areas: Financial Administration, Disaster Preparedness, Social Protection, and Peace and Order.

Salay was also able earn fair points from the following essential areas namely: Business Friendliness and Competitiveness, Tourism, Culture and the Arts, and Environmental Protection.Seal of Good Local Governance

• 2016, 2017 Presidential Award for Child-Friendly Municipalities and Cities (PACFMC) 4th-6th Class Category

 

For two consecutive years, Salay has been a Presidential Awardee for Most Child-friendly Municipality in the 4th-6th Class Category. The PACFMC is awarded to LGUs in recognition of their vital role in promoting children’s rights to survival, development, protection, and participation as well as ensuring child-friendly governance.Seal of Good Local Governance2016 PACFMC Awarding, Dec.12, 2017, Malacanan Palace

3rd Place: Government Efficiency, Cities and Municipalities Competitiveness Index Awards (CMCI)

On the 6th Regional Competitiveness Summit held at the Philippine International Convention Centre, August 16, 2018, LGU Salay placed 3rd in Government Efficiency in the 3rd- 6th Class Category conferred by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI). The award was received by Mayor Jun with LGU employees.

Government efficiency refers to the quality and reliability of government services and government support for effective and sustainable productive expansion. Conceptually, this factor looks at the government as an institution that is generally not corrupt; able to protect and enforce contracts; apply moderate and reasonable taxation and is able to regulate proactively (La Porta et al., 1999).

PROVINCIAL LEVEL

• 1st Placer: Local Legislative Awards (LLA) 4th-6th Class Category
Sangguniang Bayan Salay bagged 1st Place for their significant accomplishments in local legislation that contributed to the attainment of the (3) three pillars of the Philippine Development Plan (2017-2020).
